Do you want to upgrade your bedroom and are looking for a new box spring mattress? See our selection from Hilding and Carpe Diem Beds. Box spring mattresses are a good choice in Norwegian homes. A box spring mattress is a solid and comfortable solution for the bedroom – giving you a good night's sleep!
What is a box spring mattress?
A box spring mattress consists of a spring system mounted on a solid wooden base. The mattress offers excellent comfort, as the springs adapt to the shape of the body. The base is stable, which means that a box spring mattress cannot bend or twist. By mounting legs or slats on a box spring mattress, you achieve a complete bed solution.
Choose the right firmness and size
Here at Bedtime you will find a wide selection of box spring mattresses and double beds in different sizes and firmness levels (soft, medium, firm and extra firm). You can choose box spring mattresses in sizes such as 80×200, 90×200, 105×200, 120×200, 140×200, 160×200, 180×200 or 210×200. If you prefer longer beds, there are also options with a length of 210 cm.
We also offer frame mattresses with special measurements, with 5 cm intervals. Extra long, short or wide frame mattresses, our manufacturers customize for you.
It may be a good idea to use a mattress topper with your frame mattress to extend its lifespan.
Choose the right leg
A Bedtime mattress frame can be supplied with a variety of legs. Which legs are best suited to your mattress frame? We recommend having longer legs on a mattress frame than on a continental bed or adjustable bed, so that your mattress frame does not become too low. If you place two mattress frames next to each other to make a double bed, we recommend support legs under the two in the middle, which hold them together, and 4 legs at each corner. Apart from this, taste and comfort determine which legs are best suited to your mattress frame.
Why choose a frame mattress?
Advantages of a box spring mattress include easy assembly as the legs screw directly onto the mattress and you don't need a separate bed base, good comfort at a lower price as it provides spring support and a solid bed, and that it is a compact and practical option that saves space by avoiding a separate bed base. A box spring mattress functions as a complete bed, and you can choose to add a mattress topper for extra comfort and customization.
Easy assembly and ease of use: A frame mattress has an integrated wooden frame that allows the legs to be mounted directly on it, making it ready for use after simple assembly.
Good comfort and support: Most frame mattresses have a built-in spring system, often pocket springs, which provides good support and adapts to the body's natural curves.
Affordable alternative: A box spring mattress can be a more economical choice than other bed types, and still provides good sleeping comfort.
Space-saving design: By combining the mattress and bed base into one, a frame mattress takes up less space and eliminates the need for an additional bed section.
Versatile use: A box spring mattress suits different needs, whether it's for the master bedroom, guest room, children's room or cabin.
Customizable: You can easily add a mattress topper to fine-tune the comfort to your personal preferences.
Solid construction: The wooden frame of the frame mattress provides a stable and durable base for the bed.
