5 tips to bring spring into your home!
The days are getting longer, the snow is retreating (for now) and spring is approaching. That makes us want to leave winter behind us more and more. While we long for the warmth of the sun, welcoming spring into our homes can give a new lease of life. Even though it may not have arrived quite yet. Here are 5 tips on how to get inspired with a little spring atmosphere in your home. 1. Embrace the light Let the light in! Wash the windows and open them up to let in the spring air. Replace the dark heavy curtains with some light and airy ones. Think carefully before choosing a color, curtains can make a big difference in a room's aesthetic. With bolder colors like purple or yellow, they can quickly become the main focus of the room, but if you don't plan on changing them often, it can be smart to stick to more neutral colors like light blue or beige tones. Remember that exposing yourself to lots of natural light will help you sleep better at night! 2. Get colors down to the floor Transform your floor to match the spring mood. Replacing furniture is expensive, but an easy way to add more color to your floor is to buy a new rug. Wash and tidy Nobody likes to do laundry, but a proper spring cleaning does wonders for your home. Botany is this year's "for the curious" textile. It is incredibly fresh and cool, but doesn't fit in anywhere. It replaces last year's "Wild Flower Tropical". Otherwise, we see that cold colors such as gray, blue and green characterize the new colors of Innovation, which fits well with the color trends ahead. Blue was named the color of the year by Fargerike, which is based on trend analyses, the interior industry and the fashion scene. Green will also be a trendy color in 2018.
