Preferences for urban life combined with changing family and behavioral patterns have given us a development that is leading to our living conditions becoming increasingly compact. This has led to increased interest in multifunctional furniture and their ability to utilize the space available at home. For many, it is most practical to have a sofa bed in the living room that you use as a bed at night. For others, it may be best to have a comfortable sofa in the basement living room that is used for watching TV, but which can also be used as a guest bed when you have visitors. There are also those who want a daybed at home, which can easily be offered as a guest bed when needed. This is the core of the concept of Innovation Living – Multifunctional sofas that utilize the space at home, without compromising on comfort or appearance.
We at Bedtime swear by Innovation Living sofa beds. They have incredibly cool Danish design, top-notch quality, very good comfort and affordable prices. We have been selling Innovation Living sofas for 3-4 years now, without having received a single complaint.
Every year around this time they launch the year's collection and we are always just as excited. So then it's really just a matter of diving into the 2018 collection?
What's new?
There are many new features this year. In addition to 8 new fabric choices, there are 10 new sofa models, as well as a fresh new marble table that is also available as a loose table top. Finally, they have a pair of new armrests on selected models.
New and discontinued textiles
Among the new products we find 3 new Elegance textiles, in the colors light gray, green and petrol blue. The Elegance textiles measure 78,000 on the Martindale scale, which means they are very durable. In comparison, the Norwegian standard (NS-EN 14465:2003/A1:2006) is 20,000 minimum for normal use, 25,000 for heavy use and 50,000 for public environments (buses/trains, etc.). There is also a new light gray Melange textile (Martindale 33,300), a new floral patterned textile "botany" (Martindale 100,000) and three new velvet colors - Steel gray, dark green and dark blue (Martindale 100,000).
Botany is this year's "for the curious" textile. It is incredibly fresh and cool, but doesn't fit in anywhere. It replaces last year's "Wild Flower Tropical". Otherwise, we see that cold colors such as gray, blue and green characterize the new colors of Innovation, which fits well with the color trends ahead. Blue was named the color of the year by Fargerike, which is based on trend analyses, the interior industry and the fashion scene. Green will also be a trendy color in 2018. And as most of you know all too well, people are (too) happy with neutral gray colors.
